Today was a fantastic day! This morning I was accepted to Study Abroad program in… LONDON!!!! I seriously can't believe it, I must have read the e-mail 100 times just to make sure. Traveling around the world has been something I have always dreamed about. My family doesn't travel often and this will be my first time going abroad! (minus my trip to the bahamas senior year, but I rarely count that because it still felt like the US). For those of you who don't know I am obsessed with the city's culture. I am truly so thankful to be given this opportunity and luckily will be going with one of my best friends! (if you know her, don't tell her I said that because I don't like being outwardly nice to her very often).
I have always been very fascinated with London, partly because It seems similar to The United States so its not too far out of my comfort zone, but I really do love watching movies, reading books, and meeting people from London. Graffiti art is huge in London, with artists like King Robo, Ozmo, Milo Tchais, Evol and my favorite, Banksy. I am hoping to see one of his pieces on the streets when I am there! My art teacher (who I was in love with) introduced me to his work and it is so cool I thought I would share some of this stuff!
My all time favorite, which I assume most of you have seen at some time is a mural of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction, holding banana's instead of Guns. This is one of my favorites because it's also from my favorite movie by Tarantino.

Banksy is an amazingly talented artist mostly known for his graffiti art, but is also a political activist, film director, and painter.
