London Fashion week has just wrapped up and everyone is headed to Milan! Ill refrain from doing what I did during NYFW posting about every one of my favorite shows. Instead, i want to talk about one of my favorite designers Alice Temperley of Temperley London. I fell in love with her romantic style and her use of colors and prints. Her Spring 2015 RTW collection features more everyday wear as she is broadens her label. Let us all remember when I accidentally stumbled upon her bridal boutique in Nottinghill in London while headed to the design museum. Best moment ever. Don't even get me started on her bridal collection, it's insane.

YES I love this new trend! Everyone else is hating on it but I am obsessed. Its basically people wearing things everyone swore off in the late 90's early 2000's and are now ironically making them cool. Urban Dictionary: A subculture based on conscious, artificial adoption of things that are in widespread use, proven to be acceptable, or otherwise inoffensive. Vogue: the notion of dressing in an utterly conventional, nondescript way. Bland anti-style. K-Hole (Trend Forecasters): Normcore moves away from a coolness that relies on difference to a post-authenticity that opt into sameness. Founder of K-Hole, Emily Segal said, "There's an exhaustion with trying to seem different. People are genuinely tired by the fact that to achieve status you need to be different from everyone else around you. My take: stop stressing out about what you look like and trying to come up with the most interesting outfit. Throw on jeans and a t-shirt. I'm not saying you have to take it to the extreme and walk around looking like Jerry Seinfeld, but relax. So dig out your old Fruit of the Loom undies, velcro strapped Adidas sandals, and even those Birkenstocks. ...and thats it! A little 90's and early 2000's
flannel, light denim, pullovers and sneaks. have fun! Comic Con 2014 just finished and I felt so left out. It is literally my dream to go, it's embarrassing I know, but you can't admit it would be the coolest thing in the world to attend! A lot of cool things happened the past week at the convention and I have to share them all. If you think I'm strange; read this entire blog and at the end you can come apologize to me because this is where all the cool stuff happens. Charlie Hunnam couldn't make Comic Con and sent this video, if you watch Sons of Anarchy, you will understand that this is the greatest video in the world. (Thanks to my cousin Gray for sharing this with me) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 trailer For those of you who know me I am obsessed with Family Guy. I have watched every season and sometimes the voice in my head sounds like Stewie, not kidding. At the Family Guy panel they did a Family Guy and Simpsons crossover aka the best thing ever. Here's the 5 minute clip they released. Game. Of. Thrones. BLOOPERS. Need I say more? The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies trailer aka the movie where shit finally starts happening. YES. YES. YESSS. KEVIN SMITHHHH I seriously CAN'T contain my excitement over this upcoming film. Kevin Smith is one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world. I believe he may have been like one of my first couple of blog posts! Ugh I am so obsessed with him and everything he does because it's weird and I like weird stuff. Anyways here's his newest film (finally). It's about a podcast writer who travels to Canada to meet with this old guy who tries to turn Justin Long (yes) into a walrus. I know everyone reading this is like wtf Mady but I don't care. Also: drop everything you are doing and go watch Clerks I and Red State. AH! Okay I could probably write about Comic Con all day but I would like to keep some of my friends and this is getting weird. Awesome, but weird. SO, here some outfits I liked because that's what this blog was originally supposed to be about. It's that time of year again, well… sort of!
It's the time of years younger kids cringe at when they see back to school clothes in the mall and school supplies in every office supplies store. It's still summer right? I personally love this time of year! I love getting ready for school! Being in college, we actually like going back! Remember the good ol' days when back to school shopping was actually a thing? Going to the mall with your mom and buying pants, sweaters, and boots you wouldn't actually be able to wear for at least two more months? My back to school shopping is a little bit different! I'm all about finding clothes that work for both summer and fall! I've never been on to stick with a style, I like trying them all out! Changing up your style too much, very suddenly can get you a lot of strange looks so I like to subtly try out a style without diving head first into it! Here's some inspiration I love that will let you try new things without being too drastic! First Post: Bohemian Awesome film festival that takes place in Cannes, France! These are the films I am looking forward to seeing (or not), or thinking you might enjoy! The Films
FashionBest looks so far! Reminder it is a festival, aka multiple days that's why a lot of people are on this multiple times I've been thinking about the recent Met Gala and how disappointed I was in the choices. Last years theme was much more fun (Punk) and definitely had the best looks not so good looksIt's my favorite fashion event of the year! The Met Gala, a place where celebs majorly push the limits of fashion! Some really cool looks have crossed this red carpet, as well as some really really bad ones! Here are my favorite looks from last night! This years theme was Charles James: Beyond Fashion. The WorstI am sure many of you have liked or seen friends who have liked Birchbox on Facebook. It's been around for a while and I'm not just starting to see more and more people finding it. I am on my third month of my subscription and I thought I would start to share the items I receive each month, maybe it will make you want your own Birchbox! If you haven't heard of it, it is an adorable company that sends one box a month of samples they think you will enjoy! There are mens and women's boxes and they have all these categories for you to choose from to help them decide what to put in your box! The point it to help you find new products without breaking the bank! All there products are sold on their site if you get something you really love and want it in full size!
