"We all can't be Superman, but we sure as shit can train hard, and with loads of practice, we can be Batman. And who the fuck doesn't wanna be Batman? Batman has an impeccable moral compass, he's clever and mysterious, and when fucktards get sassy, he punches them in the face."
"Life is like hockey: It's an exhausting, but exhilarating game, best when played with heart. If you go out there unprepared, you're gonna lose teeth. Actually, with age, you're gonna lose teeth regardless; might as well lose 'em fighting for something. It's a fun game, a brutal game, and a beautiful game, the fastest game."
"Here's the tough shit: Security, normalcy, convenience, protection and identity are opiates you've gotta wean yourself off before you can be an individual. You can't stand out if you're blending in."
"As human beings we govern our actions with our deepest fears. But if you name that shit, you claim that shit: Let enough people into your closet and you'll find there's no more room for skeletons. Leave yourself nowhere to hide and you can live life unguarded."

Right when I started thinking about film as a career I stumbled upon a book by director Kevin Smith (I wrote about it in my last blog.) It was one of the most inspiring books and I loved it because it wasn't sappy, and cutsie. It was inappropriate, hilarious, and such a fantastic read about not worrying about the future.
Ever since I read that book I have been totally in love with him! Today, while browsing the movie section at Target, like I do every week, I found an awesome package deal with three of his movies: Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! Anyways, I tweeted about it and Kevin Smith favorited it. Greatest day ever!!! Even if you are not into film, the book is crazy inspirational so go read it!
