Photography is obviously a big part of my life. I am constantly looking at photos online by different photographers. I think I am going to start sharing some of the photos I find.

I am sure many of you have liked or seen friends who have liked Birchbox on Facebook. It's been around for a while and I'm not just starting to see more and more people finding it. I am on my third month of my subscription and I thought I would start to share the items I receive each month, maybe it will make you want your own Birchbox! If you haven't heard of it, it is an adorable company that sends one box a month of samples they think you will enjoy! There are mens and women's boxes and they have all these categories for you to choose from to help them decide what to put in your box! The point it to help you find new products without breaking the bank! All there products are sold on their site if you get something you really love and want it in full size! I think they Accidentally sent me two boxes this month… not complaining! March 2014 (box #1)March 2014 (box #2)I think this was the box I was supposed to get… I don't know what the one above is supposed to be for! 1. Coola Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face
2. Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet 3. Agave Healing Oil Treatment 4. Air Repair Rescue Balm All Purpose Skin Salve and Lip Balm 5. Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream Todd Slater hands down makes the coolest posters. I was searching online for some and I came across his website and I love him! Tell me this Big Lebowski poster isn't the coolest thing you have ever seen? (even cooler if you have actually seen the movie) Another really cool site is Status Serigraph! They make awesome posters, unfortunately like Todd Slater, they're all sold out. HI! I have had so much work to do over break! My teachers all thought it was a good idea to assign huge projects over the break, glad I didn't plan a vacation because I would have never gotten these done! I still have so much more to do! I've spent my break making folk art (cut paper) postage stamps for my graphic design class and I might go crazy if I see another glue stick. I'm not thrilled with them, but I got to the point where I couldn't look at paper, or hearts or anything anymore. The theme is love and nature… hopefully you got that! I went a more cutsie, girlie route to switch things up from the jail cell project I did last time I got great news over break! I was getting rid of the ombre and going back to my lighter shade when I got an e-mail saying I was accepted into the SMAD program. FINALLY a major I plan to stick with… lets go back and remember all the ones i've gone through: studio Art, graphic design, interior design, communications, hospitality, and now SMAD… I think thats all of them now I just have to narrow down these minors I'm racking up so far Ive got: Theatre, Film Studies, Art, and Music Industry I don't like making big decisions. Other than that, I bought a guitar and have been teaching myself how to play… its not going so well so anyone who wants to teach me, i'll pay ya! This is the first song I want to learn to play: NEXT: I watched 12 Years a Slave, Nebraska, and Gravity… aka ONE movie to go until i've watched all the oscar movies! Philomena is hard to find its not in any theaters near me! 12 Years was awesome, Nebraska was funny, and Gravity was such a lonely movie, I had to work on my art project during it because I was having a hard time watching it, very depressing and flared up my anxiety for sure! Lastly.. I decided to read some quality literature while on break to keep my mind fresh: y'all know I love Seth MacFarlane cause of Family Guy and this book is so funny, its a quick 200pg book based off the screenplay for the movie! The movie: GAH can't wait!
Hope you're break was more fun than mine was!! And sum up this random blog post, here's a picture of Scott Avett I have never seen her movies, I have rarely even heard her talk… but I love her. She is so stunning and whenever she shows up on a red carpet I like her more and more! Here are my top 10 favorite Lupita Nyong'o looks: (you have no idea how hard it was for me to narrow it down) Today I finished this book, Looking For Alaska by John Green. I read another book by him, A Fault in Our Stars, which is about to become a movie! His books are nice to read during the school year. They are definitely too young for my age, but they're an easy read that helps me fall asleep at night. Plus, I sometimes enjoy a book I can whip through in two days because I have a hard time waiting to find out what happens during those 600 page books, sometimes I end up reading the last paragraph because I'm so impatient! Once I find a book I love, I can't put it down, so reading during the school year is not a good idea. I started this book and finished it in two days. I started it last snow day, put it away during the school weeks, and finally stayed in bed until 3pm and finished it during today's snow day. It was such an easy read, but also had a lot of depth to it. I definitely cried multiple times.
In the book there is an amazing quote that gave me chills when I read it: "I go to seek a Great Perhaps" ~the dying words of François Rabelais. I really enjoy writing down quotes I like, plus I like trying to practice typography or photoshop skills. So today I played around on photoshop and came up with this! I had a lot of fun learning how create and warp smoke, the font still doesn't look right to me, but once I look at something for too long, noting looks right. I don't know if you all know this, but I'm pretty into this band, Mumford and Sons… This morning I was doing my daily googling of these guys, and came across this video that I am honestly embarrassed I haven't seen before because it has my two absolute favorite things: Mumford and Sons and Saturday Night Live. Will Forte, Ed Helms, Jason Bateman, and Jason Sudekis do a Hopeless Wanderer parody video and it is perhaps the best video i have ever seen. If you're looking for some new music, my favorite website is Ones To Watch… is basically self explanatory, they post about all the bands and artists they are predicting will become the next big thing. My new faves X Ambassadors are featured on the website now, so are my Haim girls! When you're on the site, it tells you where the artist is from, upcoming shows, and who they sound similar two to help you weed out all the genres you're not into! Some of these artists are a lot more well known than others and a lot of these artists you have more than likely heard, but in case you haven't, check them out! I decided to post about my favorites that are currently featured on the home page! I have already posted these songs, but I just want to drill it into your brain how in love I am with these two.
