I am so excited about this, Mahogany Sessions is coming to America! This is my favorite youtube channel, make that favorite thing ever. I listen to this channel almost everyday! When I am doing work, getting ready, or just hanging out. Check out some of my favorite videos and artists by scrolling down or clicking on the music tab! Oh man I am pumped.

Here is some new music I have been listening to recently, not necessarily new songs, just new for me! Sorry for the random videos, not allowed to play vevo! At least we can see how talented these people actually are!
As you can see, this is Allen Stone. He's really weird and it's so awesome.
Next is Elle King, who actually Rob Schneider's daughter. I don't know if that makes you like her more or less, but still check her out. You've probably heard this song cause I've heard it on the radio a bunch but she's really cool.
Gin Wigmore, another super cool, kick-ass type chick.
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I would do anything to be her she is amazing and I could listen to this song a million times in a row and not be sick of it.
It's almost impossible to get his music and barely anyone watches his videos. It's a complete mystery to me because he's just insanely good. Ady Suleiman.
Not gonna lie, I never ever thought I would be a Willow Smith fan, but this video 100% changed my mind. I hope she stays this route and doesn't go back to 'Whip My Hair' Willow. Here's a Vevo video, I just don't like the way they look when I embed them, but I did it for this one because this video is awesome.
... It's finals week for me. AKA the week I seem to get absolutely nothing done and realize just how much of a procrastinator I really am! Luckily my new major doesn't have me studying too hard, it is a lot of projects though! This is always the time when I find new music that keeps me going so I thought I would post a little throwback from 1967, one of my favorite songs : Sugar Town. I can't stop listening to it!! I don't know if this happens to you, but music comes in waves for me. One week I can't find anything new that I like and the next, I find a ton of new artists that I'm dying to share. This is one of those weeks, so I thought I would share. I wish I could post their music videos, but it has come to my attention that VEVO doesn't let me play the videos on this blog. Dumb. I am really not a fan of female artists, except Haim, so if you have any suggestions let me know!
I have this friend Donya Mossadeghi who I have known since elementary school. Growing up with her and going off to college together I watched her change and become the person she is today. As many of you know I'm not a very sentimental person, but I recently read a blog post about her and was in awe of how much of an amazing person she is! It just goes to show how everyone has a story, and you may not know someone as well as you think! She is super inspiring and will do AMAZING things in life, I know it!! Read the blog HERE She is a crazy talented musician and I will leave her story to the blogger above, and I'm just show you how freaking cool she is. (pictures by the amazing Taylor Kampa) Literally going crazy in this library! I've been here since 7am and I personally think I should get a bonus on my final just for putting in that kind of effort. But, I'm probably going to fail anyways lets be honest. French is very very hard, I am laughing thinking about how much I used to complain about Spanish! Taking a study break, and found this cute little video from one of my favorite bands! Enjoy! It wouldn't be a classic trip to the Library without my usual procrastination post. This Wednesday UPB has another Spotlight Series in TDU! CAUGHT A GHOST Going to these shows are so cool because you see these cool up and coming artists that you can love before everyone else! I mean the Lumineers were in TDU my freshman year…imagine if you could have said you saw and met them! This Wednesday is Caught A Ghost! Such a cool sound that's a bit jazzy technically Indie Electro Soul! It's free and the shows are super fun and interactive because they're small! See ya there! Opener (Jaguardini) goes on at 7! This Saturday is Madipalooza! The JMU outdoor music festival on the festival lawn! I love Madipalooza especially when its beautiful out like it will be this weekend! MAGIC MAN My favorite this year, I found them a couple weeks ago and when I found out they are going to be here this Saturday I was VERY excited! The video is really cool, so go check it out on youtube… VEVO won't let me play videos on here. They will be at Firefly this summer!! Mammoth Indigo Definitely a slower vibe, but they sound really cool. I LOVE that first photo below, great cover! And obviously if you have long hair and/or a beard, your automatically cooler in my book… plus they're from Harrisonburg! Ryan Slocum For som reason, the Madipalooza didn't put his name on the lineup! He's so amazing! Bas To be 100% honest… I think this is the right person. It says Bas on the Lineup, but he's the only guy I haven't heard of… not really my style of music. I think he's apart of something called Dreamville… but I don't know if its like a record company, or a group of rappers. I don't really get it, but cool photos! Fighting JamesonsRyan CabreraAdam Sanders … not SANDLER…. not even close Philosophunk JMU student winners! Last Year: This is an insta I took of The Lonely Biscuits last year (each band member liked it… no big deal!) I am in LOVE with Gravy Wenrich and his luscious locks. They are such nice guys, and super talented! |
