I really love finding things that inspire me. As you can see from my room I love collecting things and displaying them. Things that reming me of memories, and things that inspire me! I always have an inspiration board in my room, but couldn't find space on my walls to hang a cork board so I haven't had one all semester. Finally I decided to rest a cork board on my dresser because I couldn't go another day without it. Everything from art, photos, and quotes that I find interesting I pin them up. I also keep a folder with me so I can save things that I want to pin up on the next board!

Happy New Years everyone! I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and take a look back at my favorite memories of 2013 with a Flipogram 30sec. picture video! Most of my pictures are from the past semester, because I have a bad memory and can't remember anything past like 2 months ago, and also it has been the best semester I've had a JMU so far! As for the New Year I thought I would share some inspiration I hope to follow for the next 365 days!
Hi Hi Hi! I hope y'all had a fantastic Holiday, and good luck to everyone on NYE! My break has been pretty uneventful! I have basically watched tv, worked a couple shifts at Anthro (and spent double my paycheck), and saw a couple films! I don't have a lot of patience and when a movie comes out that I want to see. I can't seem to wait around until someone want to see it with me, so I just go by myself. I get a lot of crap from people for doing this but I DO NOT care! Going to the movies alone is the best! No one talks to you or distracts you from what's going on. All of my friends seem to be very ADD and vocal when we go to a movie, they are either texting (Kelly), talking (everyone), or obnoxiously chewing on huge smuggled sourdough pretzels so I can't even hear what's going on (ERIKA).
If you don't want to read all this: all these movies are good. My first film I saw this break was American Hustle. This film was not really what I expected. I enjoyed it overall but it was much too long for me being over two hours long, when I expected a nice 80 min. Jennifer Lawrence was great in it, not surprising but she did not have a large part in the film despite all the advertisements. Amy Adams, Christian Bale, and Bradley Cooper did as well as predicted. They are all fantastic actors and really deserve all the oscar buzz this film has been getting. Film two: I dragged my siblings to see a 10:30pm showing of Anchorman, when we stopped in Harrisonburg on our way to the Greenbrier. I have no problem seeing a movie that late due to my college sleep schedule, but Hagen wasn't too thrilled about going. The movie was absolutely hilarious. It was so bizarre and you can tell they literally just threw everything out the window, turned on the camera, and started filming whatever the hell they wanted. It was slightly long, but it makes up for it at the end with a scene too weird for words, but very funny. There is also a heavy list of cameos including: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jim Carey, Marion Cotillard, John C. Riley, Harrison Ford, Kanye West, Kirsten Dunst, Will Smith, and the beautiful Vince Vaughn. Also, Steve Carrel is so awesome and hilarious, he is a genius. Third film: The Wolf of Wall Street. Okay everyone is way too uptight about this movie! This movie was so awesome I could see it 100 more times! Everyone was talking about how disgusting, and inappropriate it was, but I don't see the big deal. It's rated R, so there's that reason not to take your whole family on Christmas Day. Also, its called research. I always look into the films I'm about to spend $11+ on before I go and see it! Read other viewers thoughts and if you think you're going to be offended, don't go. You can't get mad at a movie for depicting what was written in the book, and what actually happened. I thought the movie was fantastic and people who got so offended need to relax and not take it so seriously because its a great movie! 1/2 the theater walked out mid way. Whatever, they missed out because this movie was great. Martin Scorsese, is just the best there is, and the same goes for Leo and Jonah. GREAT MOVIE go and see it. Next Up: Inside Llewyn Davis and Her. I can't seem to drag myself out to the indie theatre, Angelika Film Center out in Fairfax to see these movies, I tell myself I am going to go every day but I just never get around to it! Its the type of theatre you want to go with someone, instead of going alone. But, I am dying to see these movies. I will probably cry through the entire film of Llewyn Davis film. The Coen brothers directed this, I love them more than anything (aka Big Lebowski). It also has John Goodman in it, who is an AMERICAN TREASURE according to Kevin Smith. He is right I am weirdly obsessed with John Goodman. Also, my boys Mumford and Sons did a lot of their soundtrack. So this is MADY in a movie. I feel like I want to write an entrée post on John Goodman, but there's already a lot of words in this post so far, and I don't think people care enough about what I have to say to read that much. If you want to join me in my Goodman obsession. WATCH: The Big Lebowski and Saturday Night Live. Also he was just on Jimmy Fallon Her is the movie starring Joaquin Phoenix also with Amy Adams, Kristin Wiig, Scarlet Johansson, and Rooney Mara. What drew me to this film was the gorgeous poster that is so dramatic and just pretty. Today was a fantastic day! This morning I was accepted to Study Abroad program in… LONDON!!!! I seriously can't believe it, I must have read the e-mail 100 times just to make sure. Traveling around the world has been something I have always dreamed about. My family doesn't travel often and this will be my first time going abroad! (minus my trip to the bahamas senior year, but I rarely count that because it still felt like the US). For those of you who don't know I am obsessed with the city's culture. I am truly so thankful to be given this opportunity and luckily will be going with one of my best friends! (if you know her, don't tell her I said that because I don't like being outwardly nice to her very often). I have always been very fascinated with London, partly because It seems similar to The United States so its not too far out of my comfort zone, but I really do love watching movies, reading books, and meeting people from London. Graffiti art is huge in London, with artists like King Robo, Ozmo, Milo Tchais, Evol and my favorite, Banksy. I am hoping to see one of his pieces on the streets when I am there! My art teacher (who I was in love with) introduced me to his work and it is so cool I thought I would share some of this stuff! My all time favorite, which I assume most of you have seen at some time is a mural of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction, holding banana's instead of Guns. This is one of my favorites because it's also from my favorite movie by Tarantino. Banksy is an amazingly talented artist mostly known for his graffiti art, but is also a political activist, film director, and painter. Here is a sample of his work: www.banksyny.com There are some great books of his work that you can find
